How to install HASP driver using Windows "Plug and Play" feature

1. Disconnect your HASP key from the computer.
2. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet
3. Make sure "automatic updating" is turned on. (See instruction (3) and screenshot bellow)
4. Make sure Windows can automatically download recommended drivers. (See instruction (4) and screenshot bellow)
5. Connect your HASP key to the computer. Wait till its light is ON.


(3) How to turn "automatic updating" On or Off

3.1. Open "Windows Update" program.
3.2. In the left pane, click "Change settings".
3.3. Under "Important updates", choose the option that you want.
3.4. Under "Recommended updates", select the "Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates" check box, and then click "OK".
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.5. You can also choose if you want to allow anyone to install updates by selecting the "Allow all users to install updates on this computer" check box.


(4) How to have Windows automatically download recommended drivers and icons

4.1 Open "Devices and Printers".
4.2 Right-click the name of your computer, and then click "Device installation settings".
4.3 Click "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)", and then click "Save changes".
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
4.4 If "Yes" is already selected, click "Cancel" to close the dialog box.
